Social Action

#iwill
Developing character through youth social action

We are a group of Headteachers and Principals from across the UK, from small rural primary schools to large FE colleges. All of us are united by our commitment to putting youth social action at the centre of character development for our students. We know the positive impacts of doing so extend beyond students’ personal development – it also helps to build stronger, more cohesive and compassionate communities.

Limited Resource Teacher Training (LRTT)
The UK charity sends qualified teachers out to any of the 12 countries it supports, to deliver teacher training to local teachers.

They send teachers out for one month during the summer holiday, to teach up to 20 local teachers.

Values Baccalaureate
The Lancaster and Morecombe Schools District have developed a Values Baccalaureate.

It works a little like the Duke of Edinburgh award, providing the framework for students to choose a series of values-related activities, and providing an award on completion.
