British Values
Teaching "British Values"
The government and OFSTED have introduced "Four British Values" that all schools are required to teach. They are:
  • Mutual Respect and the Tolerance of those with different Faiths and Beliefs
  • Democracy
  • Rule of Law
  • Individual Liberty

Eardisley CE Primary School has powerpoint to help primary schools help children to make sense of British Values within the reference framework of a values-based school, and furthermore, to support deeper understanding of their purpose and effect. The possible questions and discussion points are P4C in style and are, naturally, not definitive.
